Expiration Date

Swedish snus has a “Best Before” date for a few reasons. Since it’s considered a food product in Sweden, it has to meet the same criteria that food does. That includes a “Best Before” date but, unlike things like milk and meat, Swedish snus does not go bad after the date! The “Best Before” date is there to remind the user that the flavors and strength will be at it’s best up to the date. What can happen is that after the “Best Before” date, snus can dry out or the flavors can get weak if it’s not kept in it’s optimal environment which is at about 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
